Just an hour after Sky Sports claimed he was “close” to leaving for China, Sky’s Peter Graves says he’s been told Salomon Rondon’s move to Dalian Yifang has now ‘hit a snag’.
This comes from Pete Graves, who’s stating that a ‘UK source’ is claiming that the player and his representatives are now ‘considering their options’ as a result.
As you can see below, Graves claims that there are a host of clubs showing interest – from England and abroad – with the 29-year-old set to make his ‘final decision’ on a move next week:
I’d love to believe we’d bring him back, but with Benitez gone (the one man at the club pushing to sign him prior to his exit) and Perez sold, it feels incredibly unlikely.
As good as he was at St James’ Park last season, scoring 12 and assisting 7, why would he come back to this absolute circus of a club?
Until we get a new manager in place and start spending some money, I fear very few players will be jumping at the chance of signing this summer.
Where’s this shock twist we were promised?

He was all set for China according to Sky – now it’***** a snag and he’s looking at other options.
Isn’t it obvious from the above article? 😆

Ah right, a shock twist is when something that was rumoured to be possibly happening… doesn’t happen. It’s like a movie. 😯

We have Muto, who else do we need to finish bottom next season??

Why would he come back to this absolute circus of a club?
Its only a couple of weeks ago that we were sure that Rafa would never leave this absolute circus of a club.

Twist maybe, shock definitely not. “Usual transfer negotiations cause slight delay” would be more accurate and less click bait.
