Watch Ayoze Perez score impressive first goal for Leicester just 35 minutes into his debut

Following his £30m move to Leicester City last week, it’s only taken Ayoze Perez 35 minutes to get off the mark for his new club.

The Spaniard pulled on the Leicester shirt for the first time last night during their pre-season friendly away to Scunthorpe and he opened his account for the Foxes with a trademark Ayoze Perez finish.

Here’s the goal itself, with Perez timing his run perfectly and sweeping the ball home into the bottom corner from 12 yards:

Not only did he take his goal very well, it seems Leicester fans were left impressed by his performance on the night, with many praising his link up play and the fact he looked as though he’d been ‘playing in the team for years’:

Considering the likes of Tyrone Mings cost £26m this summer, with Everton’s Ademola Lookman (just 1 Premier League goal to his name) is set to leave for £22m, was £30m a good deal for Leicester in this day and age?

Either way, they paid his release clause and there’s nothing we can do about it now, but I have a feeling he’s going to have a very good season with the Foxes over the coming year.

Sadly, this could turn out to be a good move for Perez – a statement in itself that gives us Newcastle United fans another kick in the teeth.
