Michael Chopra has again been in good form on the subject of Newcastle United, with him sharing a brutal Rafa Benitez / Steve Bruce comparison in an angry message to Mike Ashley.
The former NUFC striker spoke brilliantly during his appearance on talkSPORT earlier this week, and he’s been at it on social media once again today.
Here’s the message Chopra sent to the NUFC owner on Twitter, followed by a damning comparison of honours received by Rafa Benitez and Steve Bruce:
“This shows the ambition of
@NUFC now. Sad to see.“MIKE don’t you realise the Geordies hate you and want you out of OUR club. #BoycottArsenal #Chopra #AshleyOUT “
A list of achievements in the game and trophies won is one thing, but, putting that aside for a second, it’s Steve Bruce’s worrying lack of success in the Premier League that worries me.
Just look at the two tables below. Not only does one show that Bruce has a worse Premier League record than the vast majority of his predecessors, he also has the second lowest win rate from those who’ve managed over 250 games in the top flights:
The fact we’ve been told he’s a ‘safe pair of hands and a ‘stable’ appointment is laughable – regardless of the fact he’s replacing Rafa Benitez.
One point per game is relegation form. 2 points per game is qualifying for Europe form.

You have to love the irony.
“MIKE don’t you realise the Geordies hate you and want you out of OUR club”
This is from Michael Chopra who played more times for SUNDERLAND than Newcastle.

I have to say that referring to Chopra, with one goal in 21 games as a striker is pure fantasy.
Even our back 4 have a better scoring record.
