Steve Bruce has suggested that BOTH Sean Longstaff and Isaac Hayden will stay at the club this summer.
That said, there’s been more concerning rumours emerge today on Martin Dubravka’s future, with the Mail now claiming that PSG are keen to sign him after he put contract talks on hold.
Nevertheless, Bruce’s comments on our midfield duo’s future are hugely positive to hear, with him having the following to say about Hayden – a player who was expected to leave for family reasons this summer”
Bruce then had the following to say to the press when quizzed on Sean Longstaff’s future, insisting that a rumoured move away to Man Utd ‘won’t happen’:
“We don’t want to sell our best young players, that’s for sure,’
“So that won’t happen. I’m very confident (he won’t go).”
Considering we’ve lost Perez, Rondon, Diame and Kenedy this summer and have signed just one so far, it’s absolutely vital that we keep two of our most talented young players at the club.
Let’s hope we can keep our star players together, sell some of the deadwood and make several much needed new signings, with us needing at least another striker, a winger and a full-back or two for my liking.
