According to the Chronicle, Newcastle United are considering a move for Swedish international right-back Emil Krafth.
Lee Ryder’s latest transfer piece claims that club officials watched the Amiens defender in action in a pre-season friendly against Hull City last night – a game which also allowed scouts to watch Tigers star and fellow Newcastle target Jarrod Bowen.
Hull won the game 2-0, with both players featuring.
Krafth is a 24-year-old full-back who currently plays in Ligue 1, and the Chronicle claim that he is now under consideration as we look to bring in competition for DeAndre Yedlin.
As for Bowen, it looks like he is one of many wingers we are looking at, with Nice’s Allan Saint-Maximin and Brazilian youngster Marrony also being heavily linked.
Bowen bagged 22 goals in the Championship last season, being a 22-year-old right-winger who Steve Bruce actually signed for Hull back in 2014.
The piece also states that we are discussing potential deals for FOUR other players at present, with Bruce planning to bring in full-backs, a winger and another striker before the window closes two weeks today.
Here’s Krafth in action, with him being yet another new name that’s been linked with a potential move to St James’ Park this summer:
