NUFC player receives TWO offers – Club set to make ‘big decision’ in next 48 hours – Report

According to the Chronicle, TWO Championship clubs have submitted loan bids for Newcastle United stopper Freddie Woodman.

It’s also claimed that the pair of unnamed second tier sides would want the England U-21 international signed BEFORE the new EFL campaign kicks off this weekend, leaving Newcastle with a ‘big decision’ to make over the next 48 hours.

Woodman played in our latest pre-season friendly at Preston on Saturday and is said to want a loan move away this summer to give him some much needed game time at senior level – and I don’t blame him.

He made just a handful of starts in the cups last season and has reportedly become frustrated by his lack of first team opportunities, however his future may be hugely dependant on what happens to Martin Dubravka – who has been linked to PSG over the past few days.

Either way, it’s essential that we allow him to go out on loan and get a full season of regular action under his belt for me.

His contract expires next summer and we must start managing his game time much better if we are serious about keeping him at the club.
