NUFC officials arrive in Nice to ‘finalise’ Allan Saint-Maximin deal – RMC

Accoridng to some ‘breaking news’ from RMC, Newcastle United representatives are currently in Nice to finalise a deal for French winger Allan Saint-Maximin.

The French outlet claims that Lee Charnley is aiming to seal the move after several weeks of negotiating, with the club now ‘confident’ of completing a deal worth €18m (£16.5m) + bonuses.

The piece does state that the ‘finer details’ are still being worked on between the two parties, with agent commissions mentioned, however it sounds like we are finally pushing to get this one wrapped up:

RMC’s chief reporter Sacha Tavolieri has also had the following to say about the deal in the last few moments:

“The leaders of Newcastle United , including its president, are in Nice to conclude Alan’s deal Saint-Maximin based on a sum of 18M of € paid cash + small bonuses.

There are still some details (commissions, etc.) to settle before formalization.”

Considering this deal has dragged on for weeks now and we’re in depserate need of an Ayoze Perez replacement, let’s hope this one is wrapped up ASAP.
