According to an ‘exclusive’ from TEAMtalk, Newcastle are one of several Premier League sides keen to sign Jayden Bogle before 5pm on Thursday.
The right-back was one of Derby County’s top performers during their push to the Championship play-off semi finals last season, and he’s been tipped to join a top flight club this summer as a result.
TEAMtalk claim that ourselves, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Brighton are all interested in the England U-20 international – not that Derby will be keen to sell one of their top talents after already losing Frank Lampard, Mason Mount, Harry Wilson and Fikayo Tomori this summer.
While Bogle may well be in demand, coupled with the fact we’re on the lookout for a new right-back, I take this one with a pinch of salt, with TEAMtalk being one of the more dubious sources.
The 19-year-old made 40 Championship appearances for Derby last season, bagging an impressive 2 goals and 9 assists in that time.
