Newcastle agree deal for Ligue 1 right-back – Player now on his way to Tyneside – Report

According to reports on Sweden, Newcastle have now agreed a fee for Emil Krafth, with the player expected to travel to Tyneside today for a medical.

This comes from Daniel Kristoffersson and Swedish newspaper Sport Expressen, who suggest the Amiens right-back will now sign a four-year deal at St James’ Park later today.

Here’s what they’ve had to say on the 24-year-old during a new transfer announcement this morning:

“Emil Krafth becomes the next Swedish in the Premier League. Sold to Newcastle. Goes to England today for medical examination and then signs a contract over four years.”

The Daily Mail also claim that a deal has been agreed, with our second offer being accepted after an initial bid of £4.5m was knocked back, while the Northern Echo also claim that a £5m fee has now been agreed.

The Sun’s Alan Nixon – who’s been reporting on this deal for some time now – also claims that Krafth has arrived in the country and looks set to get the move he’s been pushing for.

Krafth featured in Swedens’s 2018 World Cup side and has spent the last season in Ligue 1 following a stint in Serie A with Bologna.
