According to Sky Sports, Emil Krafth has now undergone his medical at Newcastle United – but he is not the last player Steve Bruce plans to bring in before 5pm tomorrow.
As highlighted below, Keith Downie claims that the NUFC head coach is still planning to bring in ONE more player before the window slams shut, while Jacob Murphy and Jack Colback look set for loan moves:
Krafth will become our 4th signing of the summer, with him £5m move from Amiens seeming imminent, however I believe we still desperately need another striker.
No names or positions are mentioned in Downie’s latest transfer update, but my guess would be that we’ll look to bring in a late replacement for Dwight Gayle – a player Bruce wants to keep but someone who seems unsettled and desperate for regular game time.
As for Murphy and Colback, the former is in talks over a loan move to Sheffield Wednesday, while the latter has been tipped to rejoin former loan club Nottingham Forest.
