‘Breaking news’ confirms Carroll will sign TODAY – Medical done & details of deal revealed

Some big breaking news has emerged in the last few moments, with the Mail’s Craig Hope confirming that Andy Carroll will now sign for Newcastle TODAY after successfully passing medical tests.

It’s also revealed that the 30-year-old will sign one an initial one-year’ deal, with him set to receive a low basic wage with incentives – likely to be based around appearances and goals.

This ‘breaking news’ shows that Carroll has now PASSED crucial medical checks that looked all set to make or break the deal, with Lee Ryder also confirming in the last few moments that it’s a ‘pay as you play’ deal for Carroll.

The Telegraph’s Luke Edwards has also commented on the deal, confirming that he’ll earn a ‘small basic wage’ with appearance and goal-based bonuses – believing it’s a move that’s worth the risk and a signing that Steve Bruce has pushed for ever since he arrived on Tyneside:

The Sun’s north-east reporter David Coverdale claims that he’s still ‘a few weeks away’ from being fit to play, but insists that the club are happy with what they’ve seen after thorough medical checks:
