NUFC set to miss out on long-term target as loan deal with option to buy is ‘agreed’ – Report

According to reports in France, long-term Newcastle United target Stanley N’Soki will join OGC Nice tomorrow.

The PSG full-back had been tipped to make the move to Tyneside for over 2 years now and looked likely to at one stage this summer, with us having a £10m bid accepted for the youngster last month.

That said, it seems we failed to agree personal terms with the left-back, with us moving for Frankfurt’s Jetro Willems instead after the deal appeared to break down.

A few weeks on and it looks like N’Soki will be joining Ligue 1 side OGC Nice, with Nice-Matin reporting today that he’ll sign tomorrow on loan with an option to buy.

It’s not one Newcastle fans will be losing any sleep over for now, although it could be one we look back on and regret if he does live up to his potential with Nice – a team likely to give him the regular game time he wasn’t getting in Paris.
