Comparing Rafael Benitez and Steve Bruce is like comparing a Ferrari with a run down Corsa with flat tyres.
There have been many people pointing out that Newcastle are in a better position than they were this time last year. Points wise, yes. Everything else is a complete and utter disaster.
Rafa’s Newcastle conceded three or more goals on just four occasions during the whole of last season, yet we’ve already done this THREE times in SEVEN games so far this season. Ominous.
Moreover, Newcastle have spent just 84 of 630 minutes ahead this season, only Watford have a worse record. The Magpies’ stats are worrying to say the least:
To make matters worse, of the manager’s to have managed 300 or more games in the Premier League, Bruce has the worst win ratio of 27.8%.
Newcastle may well be three points better off than they were a year ago, however, they no longer have a manager good enough to turn their season around.
Bruce and Newcastle are sprinting towards relegation, the very fact relegation had been mentioned in late September shows the sorry state Newcastle are in.
Benitez had a detailed plan for every opposition, Bruce looks out of his depth and confused. The only lifeline Newcastle could possibly have is if they change manager before it’s too late.
