Miguel Almiron scores from 25-yards in Thursday night win for Paraguay – Watch goal here

Miguel Almiron may not have scored yet for Newcastle United, but the winger has bagged his second goal for his country in a Thursday night friendly with Bulgaria.

Watch his left-footed strike from 25 yards here, with this being the only goal in their 1-0:

A good finish and one which should give him another big confidence boost, being his 2nd goal in his past three games for his country!

Not only did he score the winning goal in Sofia, Paraguayan reporter Roberto Rojas has praised his performance throughout, revealing below how the NUFC attacker was ‘all over the pitch’ in another lively display:

This is now his second strike for his country, with this effort following on from his goal against Jordan in September.

Hopefully this gives Miggy the boost he needed in front of goal ahead of our trip to Aston Villa a week on Monday!

  1. Maybe that’s the answer!! Play him further back to shoot from distance – coz it’s been the one on ones that he’s struggled with.

I think his toon goals will come, and he does so much more for the team in the meantime that he justifies his place – when we win – its harder when we loose and he’s missed a sitter or two like.
