Ex-NUFC star nominated for Premier League award by Sky Sports – See contenders here

Papiss Cisse’s stunning strike at Stamford Bridge in 2012 has been nominated by Sky Sports as one of the Premier League’s ‘goals of the decade’.

The Senegalese star’s 35-yard banana shot in the dying seconds of the game was his second goal in that fixture and without doubt his most memorable moment in a black-and-white shirt.

He faces stiff competition from the likes of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie for the title of scoring the best goal of the past 10 years, and you can watch the full list of nominees here:

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher opted for Peter Crouch’s stunning volley against Manchester City in that same season, whereas fellow pundit Gary Neville believed Olivier Giroud’s scorpion kick for Arsenal against Crystal Palace in January 2017 was the best goal of the 2010’s.

Which goal do you think deserves the Sky Sports award?
