Richard Keys drops desperate takeover hint – & asks ‘vile’ NUFC fans to apologise..

Richard Keys has again been talking about Newcastle United, this time he’s been bragging about how he had foreseen the good job Steve Bruce is doing, while also claiming he’s been subjected to vile abuse at the hands of Newcastle fans.

The Bein Sports host has also dropped another cryptic (slash desperate) takeover hint, saying ‘Santa might have a surprise’ for us NUFC fans..

Here’s what the disgraced former Sky Sports presenter had to say during his latest blog post:

“And you knew I was going to mention it – what about Brucey? Newcastle fans must be hating what he’s doing! He’s proving that not only Rafa can manage that club.

“He’s 10 points better off than the Toon were at this stage last season – and there’s not a hint of turmoil behind the scenes.

“I had hoped one or two of you serial abusers in the North East might’ve had the good grace to withdraw some of your vile abuse. No – I’m kidding. I knew you wouldn’t but I do hope the rest of your season continues as it is now.

“Oh – and you never know, Santa might yet have a surprise for you”

I have to be honest, some of the replies to some of Key’s tweets in the past have been a little personal, but not without foundation considering the reason he was fired from Sky Sports, and also other various rumours about his private life which I won’t be going into. “Vile abuse” is a little misleading to be honest.

Regarding what he said about Bruce, there’s no doubt Bruce is proving a lot of people wrong this season, I’m one of them. It’s the sweetest tasting humble pie out there, and long may it continue, but without sounding too negative, Steve Bruce’s managerial career history would indicate that this great form won’t last forever. I sincerely hope I’m going to be spectacularly wrong. Maybe I’m just over cynical after years of Mike Ashley’s ownership.

Which brings me onto the last line of Key’s quotes. He can’t be talking about anything other than a potential takeover, although he posted something similarly cryptic a few weeks ago. Hope springs eternal!

  1. Keys hates us which is clear to see, if we apologies and say Bruce has turned out to do a grand job at the Toon then Keys wont be hearing it said because he’s a hairy knuckled troll who needs to try and hold his breath for 8 minutes under water,

I did say IF, but Bruce is doing ok.

  6. With some good luck the Saudis will buy beIN sports, sack Keys & Gray then stop sponsoring the corrupt P L .
It’s time the PL demonstrates complete independence and has no conflict of interest . Masters definition of shortly seems to be 6 – 12 months.
