NUFC set to face Ancelotti in 11 days as he ‘agrees’ to take Premier League job – Sky Sports

Some big news has emerged from Sky Sports on Monday night, claiming Carlo Ancelotti has ‘reached an agreement in principle’ to become the next Everton manager.

This means the Italian – who has managed Real Madrid, Bayern, Chelsea and PSG – looks set to be in the opposition dugout in 11 days time when Everton travel to St James’ Park on Saturday the 28th of December.

Manager-less Arsenal had been tipped to make a move for the 60-year-old after he left his role at Napoli last week, however it looks like Everton have made their move, with him now poised to take over from interim manager Duncan Ferguson.

Everton currently sit 16th in the Premier League on 18 points, with their 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on Sunday moving them to within 4 points of Newcastle in 11th.

It’s not done yet, but this could make our post-Christmas clash with the Toffees all the more interesting (and difficult!) come December 28th!
