Sky Sports: January move now off for NUFC outcast as new injury rules him out for 4 months

Sky Sports’ Keith Downie has revealed that Jack Colback is now facing FOUR months on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury in training.

The forgotten midfielder has been left out of Bruce’s 25-man squad, but this has all but ended his hopes of a proposed January loan exit – something he was expected to make this month before this latest injury blow.

Considering we need to trim the wage bill and free up some space in and around the squad, this won’t help Bruce’s pursuit of January signings – especially when the former Forest loanee is said to earn £45,000 a week!

A Championship loan move seemed likely for the 30-year-old, with fellow outcast Henri Saivet also tipped to leave this month, however it looks like his hopes of any January exit is now over.

With him out of contract in the summer, it looks like he’ll continue to cost the club a fair few quid yet over the coming months!
