David Moyes is ‘interested’ in bringing Javier Manquillo to West Ham this month, according to the Northern Echo.
The Hammers have been linked with a move for the Spaniard in recent weeks, and it’s now been reported that Moyes is an admirer of the in-form full-back, having signed him for Sunderland back in August 2016.
Not only that, West Ham’s need for defensive cover has risen over the past few days, with first choice right-back Ryan Fredericks expected to miss up to 2 months after picking up a hamstring injury in their FA Cup clash with Gillingham on Sunday.
This comes a few days on from The Athletic’s David Ornstein confirming Manquillo was on West Ham’s radar, and the Echo now claim a £5m bid could be on its way.
He’s set to be missing for a few weeks himself after limping off in our 0-3 defeat to Leicester last week, but, with him out of contract this summer as things stand and us yet to offer him a new deal, he may well be assessing his options this month.
Time to reward his impress form with a new deal – or would you cash in while we can?
Keep him for sure, but wouldn’t be surprised if we sell knowing this lot.

Probably our most improved player. Keep.

He’s been playing really well and worth a lot more than that. Who could we replace him with for that kind of money?

Agreed. Deserves a new deal – and Ashley can’t play the age card when he’s 25!

Very true. 25 and arguably our best right-back.
My fear is we don’t give him a new deal and cash in while we can (thinking it’s fine because we have Yedlin and Krafth).
