Newcastle United appear to have completed the signing of Scottish talent Reagan Thomson.
The Scottish Sun and BBC Sport Scotland reported earlier today that we’d ‘won the race’ for the Queen’s Park talent, and it seems the deal is done now a picture has emerged of the 16-year-old in a Newcastle top tonight:
Thomson was linked with a move to both Rangers and Celtic, but it seems we’ve beaten both SPL giants to the signing of the midfielder.
The Scotland U-17 international – who is reportedly set to cost a compensation fee of around £50,000 – now looks set to link up with the club’s U-23 squad.
An official announcement from the club is expected to arrive tomorrow, but the fact a picture has now emerged on social media of him posing for a picture in front of the club crest (while in club gear) suggests he’s already signed.
One to watch over the comings months!
