The club have released footage of Nabil Bentaleb training with his new Newcastle teammates for the first time on Thursday .
The 25-year-old completed a loan move from Schalke on Tuesday – which includes a £8.5m ‘option to buy’ – and has since been handed the number 42 shirt by the club.
Newcastle also confirmed earlier today that he’s received international clearance and is available to make his debut during Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Oxford United:
Here’s a clip of him training at Benton, with him looking sharp in a drill alongside Allan Saint-Maximin:
Given the former Spurs talent hasn’t played a minute this season for Schalke’s first-team, you’d think he’ll be limited to a late cameo appearance at best on Saturday.
Reported ‘disciplinary issues’ saw him train with the Bundesliga side’s U-23’s over the first half of the season, with his last appearance for their senior team coming in April last year.
Hopefully he can get up to speed, hit the ground running and give us that dynamic midfielder we’ve lacked at times this season!
