Christian Atsu has opted to remain at Newcastle United and fight for his place, according to Sky Sports.
The winger has been heavily linked with a loan move away from St James’ Park today, with us believed to have received offers from Celtic and Blackburn.
West Brom, Nottingham Forest and Fulham have also been credited with an interest in the Ghanaian, however it looks like he’s set to remain on Tyneside after all.
Here’s what Sky Sports duo Pete Graves and Keith Downie have had to say:
So, Atsu looks set to stay and Ki has now been released, meaning the only other players who may be moved on between now and 11pm tonight are the likes of Rolando Aarons and Henri Saivet.
Rob Elliot and Jack Colback are also out of contract at the end of the season and have no futures at the club, but it seems they’ll see out the remainder of their deals and leave on a free this summer.
