NUFC ‘offer out’ player with 22 appearances this season to create space for new signing – Report

According to the Chronicle, Newcastle United are offering clubs the chance to sign Christian Atsu before Friday’s 11pm deadline.

Lee Ryder claims that the Ghanaian, along with Ki Sung-yeung, has been “offered out” by the club, with Steve Bruce needing to trim his 25-man squad to allow for any deadline day arrivals.

This comes after an ‘exclusive’ from Football Insider reported that West Brom are eyeing a last minute move for the 28-year-old – meaning that could be a potential deadline day move to watch out for.

Here’s what Lee Ryder’s had to say about potential outgoings after Danny Rose’s arrival:

It means that United may have to take injured Paul Dummett out of the squad, but talks are ongoing to move Ki on this week, and Christian Atsu has been offered to clubs in the last couple of days.

Atsu is a frustrating player to watch at times, sometimes looking cumbersome for someone with his pace and drifting out of games, but there should be no abuse go his way should he leave.

After all, he played a part in our promotion, has never once complained, seems like a well liked player within the dressing room and has done about as much as you can expect from a £5m player.

I’d wish him all the best if we did see him leave – although I would be surprise if Bruce let him go unless another attacker arrived before 11pm Friday.
