New footage shows impressive makeover at St James’ Park – See it here

The area outside the entrance of St James’ Park has been revamped, with the club’s media team releasing a video showing some of the improved changes.

You can see the video here:

Changes include a plaque commemorating every player that has played for the club, an image of the current first team and a slick fresh lick of paint for added effect.

The improvements haven’t impressed some sections of our supporters (it feels like some people just like to moan for moaning sake!), with one person responding on Twitter to say they’d prefer a takeover to a makeover.

I’m sure many feel the same way in that respect, but we can’t complain about St James’ Park looking run down and outdated then find fault when it’s updated.

Personally I like the new look, it makes the ground look modern but it is a minor detail nevertheless.

What do you think?

  1. This reminds me of Tory Britain. Spending over £100k on a website to try to rival a site that shows they’re failing the Education system in the UK.

Why not put the money to good use, investing in training facilities for example, rather than polishing a t@rd ?

  2. Listen everybody, What’s that sound? It’s the sound of Sir Bobby Robson turning in his grave.

  3. It’s been revamped in one area of the ground. One which is shown during all media coverage. Take a look at the East Stand, you may reassess your opinion.
