According to Turkish Football, Newcastle United are set to send scouts to Turkey to watch Göztepe’s talent Efe Binici.
The 19-year-old playmaker – who has bagged a stunning 52 assists in his last 3 and a half seasons at youth level – is yet to sign a pro-contract with the Super Lig side, but has been impressing so much behind the scenes that he’s already training with Göztepe’s first-team.
He’s a Turkey U-19 international and is said to be attracting interest from England and Italy, with Turkish Football claiming that Bournemouth, Watford and Sassuolo are also keen:
The report also states that ourselves, Bournemouth and Watford will have scouts present to watch him in action against Konyaspor U-19s next week.
The attacking midfielder has bagged 6 goals in 20 games for Göztepe’s U-19 side and is being tipped to get his chance at first-team level as a result.
As revealed by Turkish Football, here are his stats at youth level in recent season:
19/20 – 17 Match – 6 Goals – 10 Assist
18/19 – 25 Match – 6 Goals – 10 Assist
17/18 – 18 Match – 10 Goals – 15 Assist
