Journalist reveals 2 NUFC games set to be postponed after FA CUP quarter-final draw

As highlighted by the Chronicle’s Mark Douglas, TWO of our remaining Premier League fixtures have now been postponed and are due to be rescheduled after we drew Manchester City in the FA Cup quarter final last night.

The tie will take place on either the 21st or 22nd of March, seeing us take on the holders at St James’ Park in a game that could send us to a semi-final at Wembley IF we win – but it will have an effect on our PL schedule.

We were due to take on Aston Villa at home on March 21st, meaning that is one of two games set to be rearranged, with the other being our trip to Man City on April 18th – a league game which can no longer go ahead as the winner of our FA Cup clash will be playing a semi at Wembley that day:

For those who missed it, here’s the FA Cup quarter final draw in full, seeing us play host to the holders and the three other big guns all being drawn away from home:

  • Newcastle vs Man City
  • Sheffield Utd vs Arsenal
  • Norwich vs Derby OR Man Utd
  • Leicester vs Chelsea
