Danny Rose drools over NUFC player – & reveals why he’s “one of the best” he’s come across

Danny Rose has revealed that Allan Saint-Maximin is “one of the best” he’s ever come across when it comes to ‘one-on-one’ situations.

The left-back will have come up against the 23-year-old plenty times in training since arriving on loan from Spurs, and has also discussed how impressed he was by ASM’s performance against Kyle Walker earlier this season – believing he have his former Tottenham teammate a ‘difficult time’.

Speaking to NUFC TV, here’s what Rose had to say about the explosive Frenchman:

I first watched him when [Newcastle] played Man City at home and he was up against Kyle Walker, for me Kyle is the best in the league and Maximin gave him a bit of a difficult time,”

“Now getting train with him and play with him week in week out I can see why the fans love him.

“In a one-on-one situation he’s probably one of the best I’ve come across.

“Now he’s adding goals to his game so I’m over the moon for him and it’s a privilege to play with him.”

High praise from a player who’ll have faced several top wingers given his experience at Champions League, international and Premier League leve.

As Rose states, it’s also great to see he’s starting to add goals and assists to his game, with him being involved in 3 of our last 4 goals (2 assists at West Brom and scored the winner at Southampton).

He’s without doubt one of the league’s best dribblers, but add consistent final product to his game and his potential knows no bounds.
