NUFC flop reveals ambitious move he plans to secure this summer to end nightmare stint at SJP

Forgotten man Achraf Lazaar has revealed his plan to secure a move to the Italian Serie A this summer – despite an underwhelming stint in Serie B across 2019/20.

Lazaar, who is currently out on loan at second tier strugglers Cosenza, has had a torrid time on Tyneside since his arrival in 2016, making only nine appearances.

Here’s what he’s had to say about his future plans as he enters the final year of his contract at St James’ Park:

“I don’t know where fate will take me. I really believe in God,

“I hope to be in Serie A (this summer) – the Italian championship is my home.

Today, however, the present matters. Because it is the present that allows you to build the future”

It was a stinker of a signing, let’s be honest. For all the love I have for Rafa Benitez, a few of his signings were questionable – even if he was given a shoestring budget to work for the most part!

Rafa Benitez brought the Moroccan in from Palermo for a fee of around £2million, but he has struggled to even make the match day squad and has spent the majority of his time with us loaned out elsewhere.

He’s played just nine times in a black and white shirt across three and a half years (despite us being in desperate need for another option at left-back!), and with his current side sitting 19th in Serie B, it’s puzzling to work out how he plans on playing in Italy’s elite league any time soon!

He was actually signed by Bruce during his brief loan stint at Sheffield Wednesday, but the fact the NUFC boss quickly discarded him shows just how little he’s impressed since arriving in England.

How he must be regretting the moment he opted for us over Fiorentina back in 2016..
