NUFC takeover: Gary Neville & Graeme Souness speak out about proposed buyout – Watch here

Graeme Souness and Gary Neville have been discussing the proposed takeover that could end Mike Ashely’s miserable stint at St James’ Park.

Speaking to Sky Sports, ex-boss Souness, says that the move would be ‘welcomed’ by supporters of the club as well as Ashley – who he believes has quickly realised that the Premier League is an expensive place to be.

Neville had some kind words to say about our club, saying a fresh owner will energise the city, something that he says he has not felt at Newcastle for almost 15 years.

Speaking later in the clip, Souness also claims Newcastle could now buy ‘anyone then want to’ should Saudi riches arrive.
