Alan Shearer reveals Premier League “Team of the Season so far” for 2019/20 – Agree with him?

Club legend Alan Shearer has named his Premier League “Team of the Season so far” – and has gone very offensive with a 4-2-4 formation.

The former NUFC number nine has named a vicious attacking line-up, picking Mane, Aguero, Vardy and Aubameyang to lead the line, with Henderson and De Bruyne as the duo in midfield.

Unsurprisingly, Liverpool trio Van Dijk, Alexander-Arnold and Robertson make the cut at the back, while Shearer has gone for Leicester’s Jonny Evans at CB and Sheffield Utd star Dean Henderson in goal:

It is hard to disagree with Shearer’s team as every player is deserving of a place in the side, and it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to suggest that this could be the final line-up should the season ever re-commence.

No Newcastle player makes the team, which is hardly a reason to moan as only Martin Dubravka could realistically warrant a place in this side.

Dubravka has made more saves than any other goalkeeper in the league this season and his performances have thankfully gone under the radar in the national press, but Dean Henderson has been integral to Sheffield United’s success in the top flight – with many believing he should dethrone Jordan Pickford as England’s number one.
