Saudis seriously interested in bringing PSG wonderkid to Newcastle United – Le10 Sport

According to reports in France, Newcastle United are now showing serious interest in PSG talent Tanguy Kouassi.

This arrives via Le10 Sport, who claim that we are monitoring the 17-year-old centre-back’s situation with “great attention” following his big breakthrough season in France.

With silly-rich Saudis closing in on a takeover, we’ve seen some equally silly names linked with us in recent days – with PSG star Edinson Cavani being one the would-be new owners are already eyeing according to ESPN.

That said, Le10 Sport claim we’re already eyeing a move for Kouassi – who’s bagged an impressive 3 goals and 1 assist from defence in his 13 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants over 2019/20.

They report that PSG would like him to sign his first professional contract, but state we’ve now been ‘alerted’ by his availability as no deal has been agreed as of yet.

Another one to watch potentially – although I’d like to bet the Qatari-based owners of PSG won’t be too keen to sell to their Saudi rivals if they can help it!

  1. As we are at such a geographical disadvantage, would any decent player CHOOSE to come to Newcastle anyway?

  2. Why not Newcastle, great city, great people and it can become a great club again,, better than Manchester & Liverpool and look at the players they have attracted.
Let’s just pray the takeover happens first ?

  3. If my memory serves me right when Rob Lee first came to Newcastle his wife didn’t really want to come and that also goes for Kevin Nolan’s wife, but once they seen Northumberland and meet the friendly fork of the north east they loved it

So as far as I am concerned it’s not a problem
