Tantrum at £300m Saudi takeover arrives from Mike Ashley – The irony…

So according to The Chronicle, our beloved owner has flown home from the USA showing immense frustration that this £300m Saudi takeover deal has not been done – and will seek urgent clarification/updates from The Premier League as to why.

Oh, dear me! What a shame that the man who continues to ruin the lives of fervent Newcastle supporters is upset ‘cos he’s not got his money yet. Aww diddums! That’s nothing compared to what the long-suffering fans have had to and continue to put up with.

The Chronicle also claim the Toon owner was hoping for some type of guidance on where the deal is at as it the long-winded saga stretches into a third month. How does he think we feel? No, scratch that he couldn’t give a monkey’s how we feel. He never has.

As revealed by Chronicle Live yesterday, Ashley is ready to seek clarity from the Premier League to find out exactly why the owner’s and director’s test has taken TWICE as long as normal when it comes to the sale of a top-flight club.

However, he is now reaching the point where he will have to sanction financial plans for the 2020/21 season and give club staff an indication on his plans for the club in the next few months.

I think this for me is the salient point. It means he has to start planning for next season and the amount of money he might have to spend. He will have to start paying people wages to make plans for something he clearly doesn’t want. That said, the fact he’s had to borrow cash to invest £100m in Hugo Boss is probably the REAL reason he’s getting impatient here! We all know what he’s like.

There is only one thing Toon fans and Ashley agree on. That neither of us wants him to be owner now never mind next season. The thought of this great Club of ours being in the same hands for next season is unbearable.

The fans are the ones really suffering. Not only being left in the dark on a takeover and having to pick through the bones to see if they can find any flesh but also being charged for 2020/21 season tickets and STILL with no refunds in place for games they’ve paid for but won’t see this.

With zero communication, a case of no news is no news not necessarily good, or a lack of feeling of care from the club to their loyal supporters it’s definitely business as unusual under Mr Ashley.

Yet he thinks he’s being hard done too!!! Beggars belief at the self-centred arrogance of a man that clearly hasn’t a care in the world about what others think about him.

Oh, the irony of Mike!

  1. If Mike Ashley is having a tantrum let him get on with it if it means pushing the takeover deal through.

    Really?

Why do you insist on giving him so much power?

  3. Weird, as I thought he had returned from Miami weeks ago. Also with the need to quarantine for 14 days on returning to the UK it seems pointless as he can conduct business from Miami rather than sit at home in the UK in quarantine.

  4. If Ashley is requiring answers off epl regarding takeover there would still be no communication with supporters and staff of any update of takeover and refunds for season ticket holders. even if he aquired this info. With his sort of ignorance and greed we would all still be left in the dark .

He’s worth billions – all tied up in his businesses. That doesn’t mean he has cash to pay for that deal, so of course it’s borrowed. He was probably hoping the buyout would have gone through by now so he wouldn’t have had to get funding, so instead of hoping, he’s hopping mad.
