Allan Saint-Maximin’s agent speaks out about NUFC exit rumours & his hope for the future

Kurtys Saint-Maximin, the brother and agent of Allan Saint-Maximin, has denied claims that Napoli have made contact with him over a move for the French winger.

This comes after the Italian side were linked with a move for the 23-year-old earlier this week, along with the likes of PSG, Spurs and Arsenal following his stunning run of form since football returned.

That said, his agent hasn’t done a great deal to reassure fans over ASM’s long-term future on Tyneside today, saying he “doesn’t know” what will happen this summer and revealing his plan to become a “starting player” in a UEFA Champions League side – suggesting we may need to up our game to keep him at the club!

Here’s what he’s had to say to Calcio Napoli in response to reports linking him with a move to the Serie A giants:

“He is doing well in the Premier League even if it is a very physical championship,”

“The Blues are a good team, but I have never talked to them about a possible transfer of Allan Saint-Maximin.

“Even in the past there have been no contacts.

“If he likes the Neapolitan team? Of course he likes Naples, it is a great club like Juventus, Inter and Milan are in Italy as well.

“I still don’t know his future, it is too early to talk about it but he will want to play as a starting player and participate in the Champions League.”

This is yet another example of why it’s so important we are taken over by ambitious new owners and not stuck with Mike Ashley.

After all, top talents like Allan Saint-Maximin may have just signed a 6-year deal last summer and seems to love life on Tyneside, but he is not going to achieve his dream of regular Champions League football under a regime who are happy to just survive each season.

The wait for Premier League approval has gone from excruciating to an absolute farce, however these new ASM claims give us yet more reason to hope and pray a Saudi-backed buyout is approved sooner rather than later!
