Valentino Lazaro’s new club revealed as Sky Italy confirm medical & loan deal with option to buy

According to widespread reports emerging this afternoon, Valentino Lazaro has found a new club – and it’s not Newcastle United.

Both Lee Ryder and reporters from Sky Italy claim our January loanee has agreed a move to Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach, with him set to complete his medical tomorrow and sign an initial loan deal with an option to buy.

They’re believed to have beaten RB Leipzig to his signature and appear to be the ‘Champions League club’ his outspoken agent was referring to last week.

The Austrian, for me, showed genuine flashes of quality during his half season on Tyneside – he just wasn’t given enough chances by Steve Bruce for some reason.

That appears to have cost us, with Lee Ryder suggesting he’s opted against a return to Newcastle due to a lack of first team assurances.

He may not be a world beater, yet I maintain this is one we’ve messed up, with another loan deal with an option to buy something we could’ve benefited from – especially with our limited budget of around £30n in mind.

Good luck in Germany, Valentino!

  1. ANOTHER ****-up by the powers that be at Newcastle United. Lazaro showed some class and would have been available again ‘on loan’, but no, master tactician Bruce refused to play the lad.

  2. Totally agree with John – Lazaro looked a great find and a quality player but numpty Bruce didn’t give him a fair chance!

It’s time to get show of Yedlin, Atsu, Bentaleb, and Bruce is proving he’s not a championship manager never mind a Premiership manager = simply 10 years out of date with his application.

As if we keep Bruce we’ll end up with ManU rejects like Jones and Lingard.

At one time we all would have thought Shearer would have made a great NUFC manager but we’ve seen how he acts like a school girl and stops talking to players not in the first 11 – even though injury (!!!?))

Plus he mumbles though on BBC = no wonder BT rejected him
