Jeff Hendrick arrives at NUFC training camp to finalise move & meet teammates – Sky Sports

Sky Sports’ Keith Downie has confirmed in the last few moments that imminent new signing Jeff Hendrick has just arrived at the club’s pre-season training base in York.

The North-East correspondent says the 28-year-old has been spotted at the club’s week-long training camp in York to meet his new Newcastle United teammates and complete the ‘formalities’ of his transfer.

This comes after the Sky Sports reporter revealed last Wednesday that the Republic of Ireland international had undergone a medical at the club:

So, it seems like it may just be a matter of hours until Hendrick’s move to Newcastle United is made official.

He’ll arrive on a free after rejecting a new deal at Burnley earlier this summer and appears to be the man Bruce has opted to sign over former Schalke loanee Nabil Bentaleb.

A good signing for me and a solid addition to the squad – let’s just hope we used the cash left over on a much needed goalscorer!
