According to The Chronicle, Isaac Hayden is now in touch with a new agent in a bid to sort out his future at Newcastle.
The 25-year-old has just 10 months remaining on his current deal and is yet to commit to the club, with him battling personal issues involving himself and family down for a few seasons now.
As a result, Lee Ryder reveals that both West Ham and Crystal Palace have been monitoring his situation closely, with both believed to be eyeing a move for the midfielder should he seek a move away from St James’ Park.
The Chronicle claim that Steve Bruce has been ‘flexible’ with Hayden regarding travel to see his young daughter, and state that talks over a new deal are ‘ongoing’, but it seems he’s now deployed the help of agent Will Salthouse in a bid to finalise his future one way or another.
Considering the energy, bite and athleticism he brings to our midfield, it would be a real blow to lose Hayden.
Ideally he’s happy and signs a new long-term deal, but if he is seeking a move down South it’s key we at least sort out a new contract so we don’t lose him on a cut-price fee in January or free agent next summer.

Maybe you could move Newcastle further South to accommodate his preferences…?
