He may not have scored in his first season back at St James’ Park, but Andy Carroll has just bagged a brilliant goal in today’s pre-season friendly against Crewe Alexandra.
The game is still underway as we speak and it’s currently 2-0 following a second half strike from Christian Atsu – who was brought on at the break as Steve Bruce fielded an entirely different 11 for the final 45.

A brilliant piece of juggling and an acrobatic finish to follow after the big man latched onto a cross field pass from Jamaal Lascelles.
