Jake Humprehy is not only a brilliant BT Sport host, but also a big Norwich City fan – and he’s just sent a classy message to Newcastle United supporters ahead of Jamal Lewis’ proposed move to St James’ Park.
It’s been widely reported that the 22-year-old is on his way to Tyneside after reports confirmed we had a £13.5m bid accepted for the Norwich left-back.
In reaction to the news, here’s what Humphrey has just had to say on Twitter, praising Lewis’ quality and character and asking Toon fans to take good care of him:
A classy message from Humphrey and one that also highlights what a good deal we may have pulled off should this £13.5m deal go through over the coming days.
As Humphrey states, he’s a talented young player who not only got some valuable Premier League experience last season but also stood out in Norwich’s unsuccessful fight for survival.
What is perhaps the best thing to read is his praise of Lewis’ character, however, with his talent already clear based on the fact Liverpool made an £11m bid to sign him just last month.
