West Ham game moved as PL U-turn means all 28 games will now be shown on TV in September

Some big news from the Premier League today, with it now confirmed that our opening day clash with West Ham on Saturday has been moved to 8pm and will shown live on Sky Sports.

This comes after a decision was made at a Premier League meeting today to allow 28 games in September to be televised across Sky Sports, BT Sports and Amazon Prime.

Saturday’s trip to the London Stadium was meant to take place at 3pm, but has been moved to 8pm to spread games out for viewers:

Newcastle United’s second game of the season against Brighton will also be televised – taking place at 2:30pm on the 20st September, again live on Sky Sports.

Our third game of the season – a trip to Spurs – will kick off at 6pm on Monday the 28th of September:

  • West Ham United (A) 12 September – 8pm kick-off
  • Brighton (H) 20 September – 2pm kick-off
  • Tottenham Hotspur (A) 28 September – 6pm kick-off

The Premier League had been under immense pressure to televise the matches, with fans still unable to attend, so their U-turn today will come as a massive relief to many that we can sit down and watch our new signings in action on Saturday!
