Joelinton interest arrives & fellow NUFC star could leave after ‘considering his future’ – Report

According to the Shields Gazette, Newcastle United forward Joelinton has received interest from Fenerbahce.

Liam Kennedy’s piece states that German-born Fener boss Erol Bulut is believed to be a ‘big fan’ of the Brazilian and is keen to bring him to Turkey following his nightmare first season on Tyneside..

That said, it’s suggested that they wouldn’t have the finances to fund a permanent move, meaning a loan deal is being offered instead – something that seems an absolute non starter to me given we paid £40m for his just last summer.

Yes he may be out of Bruce’s starting 11 following Wilson and Fraser’s arrival, but I can see this being his make or break season on Tyneside and someone we are hoping to see come good now the pressure is off his shoulders to be our talisman up top.

Elsewhere, the report reveals that Matt Ritchie is now ‘considering his future’ at the club.

He was initially offered as ‘bait’ in an attempt to sign Callum Wilson from Bournemouth, and it’s claimed the Cherries STILL retain an interest in bringing him back to the South Coast.

It is said that wages could be an issue, however, with him said to be on around £60,000 after the club handed him a new improved terms in the extension he signed earlier this year.

But, if he felt miffed by our decision to offer him out last week and is privately eager to return closer to family down South, it wouldn’t surprise me if he did secure a return to the Vitality – especially when Fraser’s arrival may limit his game time.

The question is, can Bournemouth fund a permanent move and pay him a wage he’d accept? OR, more to the point, is he REALLY unsettled when you watch clips like this…

  1. Joelington alongside Wilson could prove a masterstroke!

It would be foolish to get rid so early = how many players have NUFC got rid of after a poor season ONLY for them to go on and be brilliant.

There’s a lot of Deadwood to get rid of first = Muto, Atsu, Yedlin, + + +

And then bring in more on the same level as J Lewis & Wilson – not more average Midfielders like Fraser (backslider)
