Club ‘accept’ NUFC’s bid for no.10 – Will play final game this week before flying to Tyneside – Report

According to reports in South America, Newcastle United have just had a bid ACCEPTED for Peruvian star Rodrigo Vilca.

This comes from Telemundo Deportes reporter Diego Montavlan, who claims that the 21-year-old will fly to Newcastle after playing his match for Liga1 side Deportivo Municipal on Wednesday.

Here’s what he’s had to say this afternoon, stating that he could be loaned out in January once he’s been given a few months to train and adapt to life in England:

The fee is not revealed, however it may well be around £200-300,000, with Lee Ryder reporting last week that Municipal were demanding more than the £250,000 being mooted in the media.

Elsewhere, The Athletic’s Chris Waugh understands that he’d initially be signed up as an under-23 player and could be loaned out to a club in Europe in January.

Perhaps one for the future, although he may surprise us and end up being an Ayoze Perez-esque signing by Steve Nickson – someone who’s been doing a lot of scouting in South American according to reports.

  1. I feel sorry for him, coming to a dysfunctional team with no tactics, no plan, no team work!

no matter how good he is, he will struggle and lose confidence in our team!

  3. I totally agree with Danny and quite frankly I don’t know how we sign decent players when they must know that will never achieve anything at newcastle with ashley in charge.

  4. Lots of players will come to Newcastle either for the money or as a potential stepping stone. People may criticise the record of developing players with some justification but please give the kid a chance!
