Fulham sign player Steve Bruce confirmed his interest in during January transfer window

He’s a good player, I like him, who wouldn’t?

These were Steve Bruce’s words back in January when we were believed to be closing in on a loan deal to bring Ademola Lookman to St James’ Park.

That move failed to materialise, despite Sky Sports reporting on a loan deal that included a £22m option to sign the former Everton talent, however he’s just sealed a return to the Premier League today.

After being used as nothing more than an impact sub in 2020 and failing to score in 13 appearances for RB Leipzig last season, he’s been allowed to leave on loan this time around and has joined Fulham.

He now joins former Mag Scott Parker and Craven Cottage and will also be linking up with another ex-NUFC star in Aleksandar Mitrovic:

Here’s what he’s had to say since landing in London:

“After the conversations I had with Scott Parker, I got a great feeling, that’s the working relationship I want to have. He’s young and hungry and I’m young and hungry as well so it’s a good match.”

It’ll be interesting to see how the 22-year-old talent gets on, however it feels like Fulham’s REAL issues are at the other end.

They’ve looked all at sea defensively after conceding 10 goals in their opening three games and sit rock bottom of the table on zero points as a result.
