Shocking report reveals huge Premier League shake-up on the cards – & it absolutely stinks

A huge ‘world exclusive’ by The Telegraph has sent shockwaves through the entirety of English football today – as it claims that the Premier League want to destroy football with a plan it calls ‘Project Big Picture’.

Despite the report listing an array of deplorable changes, the biggest revelation is that the ENTIRE football pyramid will be controlled by the ‘top six’ clubs – as well as ‘long serving’ trio West Ham, Southampton and Everton.

Under these new measures, votes from all nine will outweigh those of the rest of the remaining 81 Football League clubs – and it will also give any club inside the top six the power to VETO any change in ownership.

If the rumours that the top six put a stop to our takeover seemed farcical in the past, they certainly do not now. And we can we wave goodbye to any dreams of a lucrative takeover in the future!

You might also ask why I’ve just said ‘remaining 81 Football League clubs’. That’s because the Premier League also want to reduce the number of teams in the Premier League, to 18 – and the overall number in the Prem & EFL to just 90.

Under this new system, two sides will be automatically relegated from the Premier League every year, with the 16th team in the Premier League competing in a play-off style tournament with the top three Championship clubs.

This snippet from the piece is also alarming, and only reinforces claims over the summer that ‘big six’ sides DID have an influence regarding the failed NUFC Takeover:

I’m afraid that these changes really are bizarre as they seem on paper. I’m disgusted, I truly am – but I can’t lie and say I’m surprised.

The Premier League have always been obsessed with the ‘top six’ and now they want to enhance that brand by entrenching the current top six as the best teams in the land.

If these changes take place, no team will ever have a chance to crack the ‘top six’. Competitive football in England, as we know it, will be dead.

  1. Lots of people keep talking about premier league corruption, how many owners would pass the fit and proper test now?

With the emphasis on equality and the rise of the women’s game would the current West ham owners pass? Chelski? Manure keeping afloat by servicing their massive debt,

Keep the crowds out of football all season for me and let’s bleed the Premier league dry

  2. If the remaining clubs who wouldnt gain from this agreement broke away, I wonder how many fans would find the premier league interesting when it only has 6 teams in it. It would also only be a matter of time before UEFA would have to react.

  3. Totally corrupt but we have known that since the pl and masters just sat back and let takeover fizzle out, to many backhanders the so-called elite clubs and pl are a disgrace and corrupt to the core it puts the owners and directors test in prospectus. BASTARDS!

  4. Explains why the takeover was not handled well as they didn’t want the Sheikhs having there own tv deal. Why does everything have to go through Sky and BT sports??
Too much skullduggery and there Is an air of shadiness in all this.
I will certainly say that masters and co will get rich off this by backhanded presents from sky and bt sports.
Hope the media ask the questions rather than drop an article out there an drew sit quietly….
I wait for either a pig to fly or the media to stand up and say something. I have a feeling the pig maybe first.
