Cristiano Ronaldo may have just handed NUFC an inadvertent boost at Man Utd’s expense – Trio now set to miss out?

Manchester United only seem to be getting weaker ahead of their trip to St James’ Park on Saturday; with Bruno Fernandes now at serious risk of missing out due to COVID-19.

It’s believed that Fernandes is going to be forced into isolation as a direct result of his close contact with Portugal teammate Cristiano Ronaldo; who has contracted the virus.

The Portuguese midfielder is pivotal to Manchester United’s attack and often their best play flows directly through him – it would be a massive boost for NUFC if he was to miss the game.

The Red Devil’s are already without their number 9 Anthony Martial due to suspension – and new signing Edison Cavani has also been ruled out as he’s still in quarantine himself.

They’re depleted, disjointed and coming off the back of their thrashing at the hands of Tottenham, so we really couldn’t be playing them at a better time.

I’d never wish ill-will on a rival player, so I wish Fernandes doesn’t have the virus. But if he does or is indeed forced to quarantine, we must capitalise on the situation our opponents find themselves in!
