Watch as Ryan Fraser scores for Scotland – but Jeff Hendrick is slated in Ireland defeat – Video

Ryan Fraser is at it again for Scotland, scoring in their UEFA Nations League clash with the Czech Republic on Wednesday night.

The goal is his second at international level and comes after he picked up the ‘man of the match’ award in Scotland’s 1-0 victory over Slovakia just a few days ago.

Watch the cool finish below, with him appearing to thrive in a forward role at the top of a 3-5-2 formation:

Great to see him get on the scoresheet, with him looking very sharp in his last two appearances over the past week – something that bodes well for Steve Bruce ahead of Saturday’s clash with Man Utd!

On the flop side, one man who struggled on Wednesday night was fellow summer signing Jeff Hendrick.

He missed a big chance in the Republic of Ireland’s 1-0 defeat to Finland and did little to impress Irish fans – who were less than complimentary based on what we saw on social media:

It seems like Jeff Hendrick has given the ball away every time he has gotten it throughout this international break. How does he continue to start? Absolute spoofer.

Jeff Hendrick wasteful and sloppy yet again.

Jeff Hendrick is the Andy Carroll of midfielders. A big Donkey.

Jeff Hendrick absolutely robbing a living…

Jeff Hendrick is taken off … finally !! One of lives mysteries how he continues to get a game

Why is Jeff Hendrick still playing for Ireland? Every game I watch he is our worst player!!

Jeff Hendrick hasn’t done anything decent for Ireland since 2016

Jeff Hendrick in the 10 is about as useful as a DVD player in 2020!

Is it in every Irish managers contract that they must play Jeff Hendrick every game?

How the **** does Jeff Hendrick continue to start ahead of literally any other Irish midfielder

Have watched every single second unfortunately & Jeff Hendrick should never be picked again , Glenn Whelan even at his age now would be better.

Watching Jeff Hendrick play football gives me heartburn.

If we could get Mick out of the commentary box, and Jeff Hendrick out of the international setup entirely, things would be a lot better

He’s had a solid start to like at St James’ Park, but I’ve not seen an Ireland fan have a good thing to say about him since!
