Michael Chopra has hit out at Shields Gazette’s Liam Kennedy’s report that has suggested the Amanda Staveley-led takeover bid is active behind the scenes, saying “the Saudis have gone!”.
The piece suggested that Medrdad Ghodoussi’s activity on on social media proves there is still an interest from the consortium and that rumblings are going on in the background – with Ashley set to pursue legal action.
This gained a response from Chopra, who was the figurehead for the rather unprofessional Bellagraph Nova Group.

You can judge the mood of Newcastle fans just by looking at the responses to Chopra’s tweet – which comes across pretty amateurish to me!
All of them are negative towards him – believing him to have lost all credibility after the sham of the group he told supporters was definitely buying NUFC.
Bellagraph Nova Group used cheap, tacky methods like poor photoshop photographs with figures like Barack Obama and Cristian Ronaldo to try and promote the image of themselves as a legit entity.
It seems obvious to me that Chopra has had his leg pulled in a high-profile manner – it certainly wouldn’t be the first time this has happened to him.
