NCSL reject Premier League request following legal threat over failed Saudi takeover

The Newcastle Consortium Supporters Group Limited (NCSL) have officially rejected the Premier League’s request for a 14-day extension in their response the group’s legal threats.

The group were expecting an answer on Tuesday, but the Premier League demanded the extension at the eleventh hour; giving them more time to prepare.

The group took just over 24 hours to make a decision, announcing on Wednesday night that they unequivocally reject the Premier League’s request – as they believe that they’ve had ample time to prepare a response.

The Premier League are clearly feeling the pressure of the case – and will now have to act in order to defuse the legal threats.

The supporters group will now move ahead with their case – as they begin campaigning for a CAT (Competition Appeal Tribunal) hearing.

Surely we can now expect a Premier League response in the next few days!
