Mark Lawrenson has launched probably one of the most embarrassing attacks on Newcastle United fans you’re ever likely to see in the last few moments.
When asked by the BBC’s Dan Walker if ‘staying up’ would be deemed a good enough season by fans on Tyneside, Lawro claims that we are “never happy” and expect to “win the Champions League”, insisting that Steve Bruce is a good manager who’s doing a good job.
You have to see it to believe it, so watch it for yourselves below:

“They won’t be relegated.
“I think he (Steve Bruce) is a good manager
Lawro when asked if ‘staying up’ is a good enough season for NUFC:
“Well they’re never happy are they!
“They want to win the Champions League don’t they but they’re unfortunately but such is life.”
Absolutely pathetic comments.

As it`s a competition we`re not qualified to take part in .. it`s a nonsensical remark.
