The FA Cup Third Round draw has just taken place live on BBC One in the last few moments – and it’s not the best of results for Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United.
Our old pal Robbie Savage did the honours and picked our name out of the hat after Arsenal were drawn, meaning we’ll face a trip to The Emirates in the new year.
As confirmed by the club, Third round ties will take place across the weekend of Saturday (9th) and Sunday (10th)of January, 2021.
A tough game – and one that ends our run of generous of draws since Steve Bruce took over – however we must take confidence from the fact Arsenal have lost their last two home games against Aston Villa and Wolves, with them currently one spot below us on the table in 14th place.
