According to an ‘exclusive’ from TEAMtalk, Newcastle are one of several clubs showing interest in Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara.
The Finnish international has been one of Steven Gerrard’s star men following their outstanding start to the season – which has them 11 points clear at the top of the SPL and in the knockout stages of the Europa League.
TEAMtalk report that we have been ‘keeping close tabs’ on the 25-year-old and that Ibrox chiefs are eager to hand him an new improved contract in a bid to fend off January interest.
This isn’t the first time we’ve been linked with Kamara, with our alleged interest dating back to August.
That said, it seems we aren’t the only club keen on the box-to-box midfielder, with TEAMtalk reporting that he’s also caught the eye of Benfica, Everton, Sheffield United, Crystal Palace and Southampton.
He’s always impressed me when I’ve caught a glimpse of Rangers over the past year, however they will be very reluctant to cash in on one of their standout players when a first SPL title for several years looks well within their grasp!
